Once again Marlon Holiday Resort was very proud and privileged to host This Alfred County rally.
This last weekend saw Marlon Holiday Resort once again hosting the Natal Motorhome Club of S.A.

Ray and Rose Walker, with son Andrew, invited Dot and I to spend a weekend at Marlon Holiday Resort on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast recently. No second invites were needed, it was full steam ahead and we got there at a rate of knots, not even the MSC Opera could get up!
CCSA region Alfred County visited Marlon Holiday Resort for their October rally this last (5th-7th) weekend. Although the rally was only to be held from Friday to Sunday a number of caravaners took advantage of Marlon's special offer for rallies and arrived on Tuesday and one or two only left on Monday.

We were so looking forward to camping Kleine Eike.
It was great to see everyone arriving at once just after 2pm ! Alex and Colleen and Brian and Dawn were already set up from Thursday.
One word to describe this outspan is WINDY. However we were a resilient group and made the most of our time out there.

We arrived at Onrus shortly before lunch, followed by Wayne & Genevieve, with Gavin & Nikki plus family Jason, Amy, Callum & Kai following. After setting up we sat in the shade enjoying a cold beverage.
Most members arrived on Friday afternoon to an overcast day with mist causing a fine sprinkle of raindrops. Once everyone was set up and had supper everyone gathered in the gazebo at 9pm to watch the rugby.
We’re thrilled to share the highlights of an unforgettable camping weekend at Ouskip Caravan Park, where nature, camaraderie, and the spirit of adventure converged.
We were blessed by reasonable weather over the weekend so that was kind to our visitors from up country who were used to 30 deg days
Trying to capture a lovely weekend in one picture is difficult as a picture can only capture a moment in time, but it cannot convey the full range of emotions and experiences that make up a lovely weekend
On this weekend we were only 5 members camping, Greg and Ursula Forbes, Benny and Des Pietersen, Cheslyn and Carmen with their daughter and friend and Farrel, Priscilla, Beverley, Brooke and Randall. A total of 13 campers.
Friday evening we served muffins and bottomless coffee. Plot 42 was the coffee tent for the weekend. Campers just had to bring along their mugs. We had loadshedding for 4hrs Friday evening but that didn’t stop the “gees” of the Campers
Setting up this weekend was not the easiest, but the funniest.
